Hulu has ordered a new social experiment competition series, “Got to Get Out,” from Wheelhouse.
In this format, participants live in a mansion for 10 days and compete for prizes that increase by $1 every second in the game. As contestants compete in physical and mental challenges, more prize money is added to the “pot” with up to $1 million at stake.
Upon completing the series, participants are given the choice of receiving the prize equally or trying to keep it all for themselves. To steal the pot, you need to escape through the main gate of the mansion, but in this game, escaping is easier said than done.
At random intervals, the gate opens to reveal a getaway car in which the contestant attempts to leave with the “pot” and the contestant is given the opportunity to prevent others from leaving. “Got to Get Out” will be a blend of physical/mental challenges, social dynamics, and evolving alliances.
The series is Hulu’s latest unscripted project, following the announcement of a new unscripted show about Wayne Brady’s unique family relationships. Other unscripted projects scheduled for Hulu include the third season of “The Kardashians,” the 20-episode “D’Amelio Show,” and the upcoming “Vanderpump Villa,” starring Lisa Vanderpump. ” is included.
Got to Get Out is created by Glenn Hugill, who serves as executive producer along with Brent Montgomery, Ed Simpson, Pam Healy and Liz Fine. Charles Wachter will serve as executive producer and showrunner. His Spoke Studios at Wheelhouse will produce the series.
