GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A man and a woman have been charged with gun-related crimes after Goldsboro Police responded to a call of a disturbance and armed subject in front of Walmart on Friday.
Police said officers and Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Walmart parking lot at 1144 Tommy’s Road, at the corner of Wayne Memorial Drive, just before 2:10 p.m. Friday.
As a result of the preliminary investigation, two people were found inside the vehicle. A consent search resulted in the recovery of a firearm from the vehicle.

Police said there had previously been an altercation between two people in the parking lot, after which a firearm was brandished. Police said there were no reports of injuries and no shots were fired.
As a result of the initial call and response, Tommy’s Road Primary School and Wayne Preparatory Academy were temporarily placed on soft lockdown. The lockdown was lifted after police arrived and it was determined that there was no active disturbance.
Those arrested were Claudalis Woods, 33, of Goldsboro, and Donesia Sanders, 25, of Durham.
Woods was charged with being armed and terrorizing the public, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Mr. Sanders was charged with carrying a concealed firearm.
Bail information for both men was not available, police said.
