A Walmart customer accused the store of its controversial payment machine, only to reveal it was hacked.
Shoppers took to X (officially Twitter) to share tips that others can use too.
This user X (@Cjfreshness4722) first came to use the store’s self-checkout system.
inside postshoppers said they would not use the machine under any circumstances.
“We do not allow the use of self-checkout,” they said.
They then shared how they still pay for items without using self-checkout.
“If the cashiers at Walmart aren’t open, I’ll load up my cart with shit and go to customer service,” they revealed.
The tweet comes as more customers are complaining on social media about self-checkout at major retailers, the US Sun previously reported.
Another customer took to TikTok to share their frustration with the Walmart store’s machines and controversial policies.
A common theft prevention measure in many large retail stores is for staff to check customers’ receipts when they leave the store.
One customer and mother of six created a TikTok to complain about these policies and staff at Walmart.
Samantha (@_bradybunch8) claimed that employees could not read printed receipts at self-service kiosks.
“Once you’re done and you’ve scanned all your sex and put it in a bag and put it back in the cart, it starts rolling like a heavy cart…Try it! As you round the corner and head out the door, they see you I want to stop it,” she rants.
“”Could I see the bill?”
“No. I stopped for them when it was all new. I didn’t want to get in trouble. Then I realized I didn’t have to, so I never do.”
Samantha then questioned the role of the front door staff.
“What the hell are you all reading? Everything you see is like code, so I don’t even know what you’re reading,” she said.
