Legacy sophomores Laney Growden and Lauren Chandler won two individual events each at the Midland Invitational Swimming and Diving Meet held at COM Aquatics on Friday and Saturday.
Groden won both the women’s 200-yard freestyle (2:02.03) and 100 backstroke (59.78), while Chandler won the 200-yard individual medley (2:21.68) and 500 freestyle (5:44). 47).
Midland Christian senior Eli Bridges won both the boys’ 200 IM (2:01.57) and 100 butterfly (54.44).
The 2nd place Legacy boys (616 points) narrowly missed out on the tournament title by defeating San Angelo Central (618 points).
The level boys were David Fuentes in the 50m free (22.79), Gavin Rochelle in the 100m breaststroke (1:03.89), 200m medley relay (1:39.79) and 200m freestyle relay (1:39.79). He won with a time of 1 minute 30.07 seconds.
The Midland High School girls team took first place in the 1-meter diving (177.50), Hannah Kruger in the 100-meter free diving (52.73), and the 200-meter freestyle relay team (1:45.23).
