Smart Internet surfers like us ignore those annoying “Claim Now” pop-up ads promising free gift cards. We are better than that. But a new shopping app has arrived and we’re getting a lot of questions about whether it’s a good way to make some extra money. So I decided to do some research for you.
See you at Flipside
It’s called a flip. You can purchase products by creating an account. Once you get your purchase, you can earn money by posting reviews on TikTok-style videos. Flip pays you when people buy or refer someone to your app based on your reviews. You can use your credit to buy more items on Flip or transfer cash to your bank account.
Alexis Talient, 21, told Wired that she picked up $74 worth of high-end beauty products for $4. Another user said he received a $700 gift card from his friend’s referral. The money Talent made from his Flip went toward funding his wireless headphones, skin care products, and a new factory. Yes, there is a little bit of everything.
know the shortcomings
This app has a rating of 4.8 on the Apple App Store and 4.5 on Google Play. That’s decent. However, TrustPilot has seen quite a few complaints about orders not being delivered and poor customer service.
My biggest problem is that once you install Flip, it’s hard to skip sharing the app and all your contacts. There’s a tiny, almost invisible white skip button in the top right corner.
And when you’re using the app, it keeps reminding you to share your contacts, share your contacts, share your contacts. I saw that message three times in the first four minutes of using the app. Understood. Share your contact information and get free credits. You could have gotten up to $500. no thanks. I wouldn’t do that to my friends.
This app also makes it easy to get addicted to scrolling and buying tons of stuff you don’t need. I don’t need this app in my life. Therefore, I also vote that it is not necessary.
