AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Music streamers are a loyal bunch. Once people visit Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube, they stay.
You may not be completely satisfied, but changing services means losing all your carefully created playlists and favorites and having to start over or copy your library from one service to another. I know I need to start doing the heavy lifting. .
If you’ve ever wondered what alternative services are like, the app Free Your Music will take care of the hassle for you.
Free Your Music copies your playlists and favorites from one streaming service to another.
Amazon Music has 44 playlists built over the years. I recently found a great deal on Apple Music’s monthly subscription plan, so I decided to give it a try.
Some playlists contain hundreds of songs. Playlists created over 6 years for workout, summer, relaxing, studying, covers, and TV show music.
The Free Your Music app lets you choose where to save and transfer your music.
Works with all popular services including Spotify, YouTube, Tidal, Pandora, Amazon Music, and more. There are also many services you’ve probably never heard of.
I was a little nervous because I had to log into both accounts. We provided login information for this app to both Amazon and Apple. Free Your Music says it only uses login information to transfer music and does not store usernames and passwords.
You can then select the playlists you want to copy, or select all playlists with one tap on the screen.
That’s all you need. Free Your Music pulls these playlists and songs from your old service to your new service. It may take some time if you have many playlists.
When you open a new Apple Music account, all your Amazon Music playlists will be available to stream.
It will not be removed from the old service either. You can use Free My Music to copy playlists to all your streaming accounts.
Perfect if you found a great discount on another streaming service, want to see how other streaming services work, or if your favorite artist was suddenly removed from your library.
Free Your Music lets you move 100 songs for free. After that, you need to pay for the app.
The one-time fee is $11. It’s worth it for many music lovers who want to try another streaming service. This app works on iOS, Android, Mac OS, Windows, and Linux systems.
