Procrastinators beware. Final voting for the Grammy Awards closes one week from today, on Thursday (January 4th). Voting for the final round began two weeks ago, on December 14th.
Recording Academy voting members can now vote in the My Academy Hub mobile app, which is available for download on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Members can set up biometric logic so they don’t have to remember passwords.
The mobile app option is designed to benefit musicians who are on tour and may be away from their desktops. The academy is modernizing its operations and making voting more convenient. In an email to members, the Academy said: Easily start voting from the comfort of your home using your desktop, and seamlessly continue where you left off with our mobile app, wherever you are. Your progress is automatically saved, so you don’t have to worry if you’re on the go and pressed for time. ”
Members in almost any location, domestically or internationally, can download and use the mobile app. The Academy notes that the app is currently not available to members in China.
Otherwise, the Grammy voting process remains unchanged. Voting Members who have questions or need technical support regarding the app should contact us at app@recordingacademy.com.
