PLATTSBURGH — Spooky season is in full swing in Clinton County, where lawns and homes are decorated as temperatures drop and brightly colored leaves begin to fall.
This month, towns, villages and businesses across the county celebrate Halloween with their communities by hosting a variety of events including candy, games, music, costumes and costume contests.
Another key element of these events is “trunk-or-treating,” where participants decorate their trunks in the spirit of Halloween and hand out candy to children at appropriate events.
Trunk-or-treat events provide an opportunity for families to experience trick-or-treating. This is helpful for people in areas where door-to-door visits are not possible.
Below is a list of Halloween events held throughout Clinton County that primarily feature trunk-or-treating.
