Photomator, the popular image editor from the same developer as Pixelmator, has received a new update with new features. Specifically, Photomator 3.3 includes a watermark tool built into the app, allowing users to easily watermark photos on her iPhone or iPad.
New features in Photomator 3.3
As the developer details in a blog post, the new watermark feature “makes it easy to protect your creative work from unauthorized use by applying custom watermarks to your photos.” To that end, there are many options for users to watermark their photos as per their wish.
When exporting an image, Photomator will ask you if you want to add a watermark. Users can choose where to place the watermark, its size and opacity. Watermarks can be images or custom text. You also have the option to add a repeating watermark across your photos for added security.
By default, the app comes with six watermark presets, so you can simply replace the placeholders with your own images or text. Users can also save their own watermark presets for later use. If you have a large number of photos, you can also watermark multiple images at once.
The team behind Photomator also teased new features coming to the macOS version of the app. Soon, users will have access to the new File Explorer and will be able to edit photos from external drives and import folders by dragging and dropping them into Photomator. This feature is currently available in the beta version of the app and will be available to everyone soon.
Photomator is available in the App Store and you can try it for free. Users can choose a subscription model or purchase a perpetual license, which typically costs $99.99. This app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Note that HDR support requires a device running iOS 17, iPadOS 17, or macOS 14.
