Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced the release of a custom smartphone application that is now available to the public.
This app is an innovative way for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with Berkeley County residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone.
“To be transparent with the community, we are always researching the latest trends,” Lewis said. “This smartphone app is user-friendly and has several resources readily available to residents. We encourage the public to download it to connect with us.”
This app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, an OCV LLC brand specializing in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices and public safety organizations nationwide. The app provides quick access to items of public interest and is easy to use. With just a few clicks, users can access numerous features.
The app is currently available for free on the App Store and Google Play by searching for “Berkeley County Sheriff.”
“More than 80% of people in the U.S. own a smartphone and use it as their primary means of communication,” said Kevin Cummings, OCV Partner and CRO. “Mobile apps give government agencies a better way to warn, inform, and prepare the public. Apps allow public safety agencies to reach citizens wherever they are: on their smartphones. and be able to provide services.”
