The Fairfield Police Department is spending time with the community through holiday events this season, with two more Santa stops at neighborhood parks and a Christmas-themed Paint for Pose scheduled for Friday.
Due to predicted rain, Santa and his partners with the Fairfield Police Department visited Nelda Mundy Elementary School, Oak Brook Elementary School, Cordelia Community Park, and Cordelia Hills Elementary School on Thursday night. There will also be stops at Woodcreek Park and B. Gail Wilson Elementary School. , Friday evening at KI Jones Elementary School and Rolling Hills Elementary School.
The department plans to notify Santa on Facebook and Twitter when he moves locations.
Paint for Paws will be held at Village 360 on Friday nights. Tickets are $45 and include a glass of wine from BackRoad Vines.
Last week, the Fairfield PD Community Action Team donated Walmart gift cards to children in the Fairfield Suisun Unified School District and children in the care of the Change and New Beginnings Shelter. To cap off their busy schedule, Fairfield PD officers won the annual City Employee Pancake Eating Contest for the second year in a row.
