The West Virginia University Alumni Association, Mountaineer Athletic Club, WVU Foundation and WVU Athletics are partnering to host an event for fans attending the Dukes-Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The WVU football team will play the University of North Carolina on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Bank of America Stadium.
Tuesday, December 26th
The night before the game, join your fellow Mountaineers for a meet-and-greet at the WVU Alumni Association Charlotte Chapter’s Game Watch Home located at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grill, 911 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Fans can enjoy food and drink specials and tune in to a live broadcast of the Mountaineer Sports Network Bowl Radio Show, hosted by WVU play-by-play announcer Tony Caridi and featuring MSN personalities Jed Drenning, Dwight Wallace and John Antonik. can.
Wednesday, December 27th
On game day, alumni, friends and fans are invited to join the WVU Dukes Mayo Bowl Pregame Party hosted by the Charlotte Chapter of the Alumni Association at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grill from 12:30 to 4 p.m. .
Tickets to this special tailgate event include WVU giveaways, tailgate food, drinks, and a performance by the Mountaineer Marching Band, “The Pride of West Virginia.” This event is expected to sell out. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online.
The Mountaineer Marching Band, WVU Cheerleaders and Mountaineer Mascot will make a special appearance at 2 p.m. Shuttles from Dilworth Neighborhood Grill to Bank of America Stadium will begin two hours prior to kickoff. Shuttle service will resume at the start of the fourth quarter and continue for 75 minutes after the game ends.
For both events, parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the lot adjacent to Dilworth Neighborhood Grill and in the parking deck located at 831 East Morehead Street.
Kickoff between the Mountaineers and Tar Heels at Bank of America Stadium is set for 5:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on ESPN.
The Mountaineer Ticket Office announced that all priority ticket requests for the Dukes Mayo Bowl have been filled with the best available tickets within the WVU allocation, based on Mountaineer Athletic Club priorities. General tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, and fans attending the game can also purchase parking passes.
For Mountaineer fans heading to the game, the WVU Alumni Association, WVU Athletics and the Mountaineer Athletic Club are offering exclusive hotel packages in partnership with official travel partner OnLocation.
