EDWARDSVILLE — Madison County authorities charged multiple people Friday in separate retail theft incidents that occurred at the Wood River Walmart, 610 Wesley Drive.
•Charles E. McTizic, 57, of the 100 block of Golding Street, East Alton, was charged with two counts of retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. This case was filed by the Wood River Police Department. On Nov. 7 and Nov. 9, Maktizic allegedly took household items, bedding, multiple vacuum cleaners and vacuum cleaners from Walmart, according to court documents. He was ordered released from custody.
•Curtis S. McTizic, 55, of the 100 block of Golding Street, East Alton, was charged with two counts of retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. This case was filed by the Wood River Police Department. According to court documents, Maktizic allegedly removed baby care products, alcoholic beverages and household items from Walmart on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9. He was ordered released from custody.
• Precious M. Everett, 28, of the 3100 block of Hawthorne Avenue, Alton, was charged with two counts of retail theft over $300, a Class 3 felony. This case was filed by the Wood River Police Department. Everett allegedly took jewelry, electronics and clothing from Walmart on Oct. 16 and Oct. 18, according to court documents. She was ordered released from her custody.
• Jennifer A. Koehler, 41, of the 2500 block of State Street, Granite City, was charged with retail theft under $300, a Class 4 felony. This case was filed by the Wood River Police Department. On Nov. 9, Koehler allegedly took personal care products, electronics and household goods from Walmart, according to court documents. Koehler was previously convicted of robbery in 2021 and was ordered released from custody.
These individuals have only been charged and remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not all charges are reported.
