Celebrate the holidays at World Awareness Children’s Museum
GLENS FALLS — The World Awareness Children’s Museum, located at 89 Warren Street, is hosting a free admission day on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inviting families to explore the museum’s attractions, including the new Mountain Tots exhibit. Allow exhibits to be explored. Upcoming programs include a cinnamon ornament craft on Dec. 16 at 10:30 a.m., a St. Lucia Day celebration on Dec. 17 at 1 p.m., and a winter holiday learning workshop on Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m. Contains shops.
The museum will host a “Snowy Family Paint and Sip” class for families on Dec. 29 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Artist and instructor Patrice Jarvis Weber will teach participants how to create their own seasonal paintings for the holiday season. Gather and dine programs available in Saratoga County
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga County Aging and Youth Services will offer a Gather and Dine program at noon Monday through Friday starting Monday, Dec. 11, at the Saratoga Senior Center, 209 West Ave., Suite 1.
The program provides seniors 60 and older with warm, nutritious meals prepared by Mazzone Hospitality and an opportunity to socialize.

Unity House Children’s Holiday Program is seeking donors

TROY — Unity House’s annual children’s holiday program is looking for more help.
Most needed are holiday wish lists for 75 children who have not yet been “adopted.” Even if donors can’t be added to the wishlist, the program also needs donations of toys, gifts, gift cards, or money.
The program ensures that the selection and presentation of gifts respects the dignity of participants. Parents can visit her Unity House Holiday Store and choose a free gift tailored to their child’s interests and needs.
The annual program typically serves approximately 1,100 children who participate in Unity House’s early child care program, domestic violence services, housing assistance program, and emergency assistance program.

Biweekly winter nature walks
Gansevoort — Guided nature-on-the-move walks will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays, Dec. 18, Jan. 15 and 29, and Feb. 12 and 26, at the State’s December Camp – Hosted by Wilton Wildlife Refuge & Parks at Saratoga Trail. Led by environmental educators from Wilton Wildlife, this walk covers approximately 1.5 miles of trail and gives participants the opportunity to observe the beauty of winter nature. Walks take place every other week. If it is snowing, it will be a snowshoe program. Free snowshoe rentals will be accepted 15 minutes before the start. Registration required.
