The Leader is pleased to run community events free of charge in the calendar.
To help ensure your event receives the maximum exposure across both our online and print platforms, we kindly request all event submissions be made through our online calendar system. This allows our community calendar to be viewed by a wider audience, both locally and beyond. It also makes it easy for you to update your event listing at any time.
Submitting your event online is a straightforward process:
1. Visit our website at myleaderpaper.com/local-events and scroll to find a blue button labeled “Create an event.”
2. Click on the “Create an event” button.
3. Fill out the required fields, including event name, date, time, location, and a brief description. Upload any relevant photos or documents.
4. Submit the form, and your event will start appearing in the online calendar and will be reviewed by our team for the print calendar.
It’s always been free to submit events to the Leader’s community calendar and will remain that way. However, our new online calendar system does give you the option to pay a fee to have the event listed in additional calendars and highlighted on the Leader’s online calendar. If you wish not to purchase the additional promotions, make sure you select the free option at checkout and you will not be charged. Please note that all events will be subject to our standard review process, and the Leader reserves the right to edit or decline submissions that do not adhere to our guidelines.
Events that occur weekly are listed on a space-available basis. Only nonprofit events that are open to the public are eligible.
