The Port of Long Beach will host two events to provide information and gather input for Pier Wind’s upcoming environmental review.
The Pier Wind project is a proposed 400-acre terminal designed to facilitate the assembly and deployment of offshore wind turbines.
If approved, the planned Pier Wind project would be the largest project of its kind on the West Coast and help meet California’s renewable energy goals, the port said.

The Port of Long Beach said both sessions will begin with an open house, where port staff will answer questions and distribute information about Pier Wind.
A scoping meeting will then be held to provide an overview of the proposed project and explain the environmental assessment process.
The first open house and survey meeting will be held on December 13th in the first floor multipurpose room of the Port of Long Beach Administration Building. The open house begins at 5 p.m., followed by a research meeting at 6 p.m.
