live nativity — Join us Sunday night at 6pm for the Nativity at St. Mary’s Church. The event will provide free hot chocolate and cookies to attendees.
December 11th
Global Neighbors Cookie Collection — Help University of Miami international students celebrate the season by donating baked goods to this event. This event will run all day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Community members can donate baked goods in McMillan Hall, Room 017. International students and their families will be able to pick up cookies at the same location on December 12th and 13th. .
December 15th
Madcap Muppets: It was the night before Christmas. — The show is set on Christmas Eve, when a family of mice is preparing for Christmas Eve. The event will be hosted by Oxford Community Arts Center’s Magic Carpet starting at 7 p.m., and interested families can purchase tickets through the center’s website, oxarts.org.
December 16th
winter drive-in movie — Last year, Houston Woods hosted its first winter drive-in movie event. Now, the festival atmosphere is returning with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Elf showing. Admission to the 5 p.m. screening is free, but donations are welcome, and the event will also feature food trucks, popcorn, and hot chocolate.
December 17th
A visit from St. Nicholas — St. Nick is visiting Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Oxford on Sunday, Dec. 17, for a 10:30 a.m. service. He stays afterwards for refreshments and has the opportunity to take photos in the parish hall.
caroling and cookies — Join Oxford Vineyard Church’s evening festivities on December 17th starting at 6pm. You will have the opportunity to walk around the area caroling and sharing cookies with the community.
December 20th
winter vacation ice skating — The Goggin Ice Center will host a holiday skating event on Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 3:15 to 5 p.m. Can’t make it on Wednesday? Goggin will be hosting similar events December 21-23, December 26-30, and January 2 from 3:15 to 5 p.m. On December 23rd, skaters can also expect a special visit from Santa Claus.
December 21st to January 7th
winter scavenger hunt — Children 11 and under can stop by the Oxford Lane Library for a fun scavenger hunt throughout the holiday season. Participants can also win prizes at the end. Please check the library’s website, lanepl.org, for opening hours and closures.

chocolate meltdown — The holidays may end on New Year’s Day, but there are still festive events happening uptown. Join us at the Oxford Community Arts Center on January 13th from 1pm to 5pm for our annual celebration of all things chocolate. The event will include chocolate vendors, art exhibits, and a horse-drawn carriage that will travel between the art centers. Uptown park.
