FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Book borrowers using the Fresno County Public Library System are advised to remove the current ValleyCat app from their devices as it is no longer working and there are no plans to fix it. , said library officials. .
The Fresno County Public Library describes ValleyCat as an app that allows users to search, request, update and return library materials.
The San Joaquin Valley Library System says the software is currently offline due to a disagreement between its primary library software provider and a third-party contractor that allegedly provided components of the ValleyCat mobile app. Users were warned on social media.
As a result, developers say they are working on creating their own apps.
In the meantime, library services remain available at www.fresnolibrary.org.
Until the new app is ready to launch, users can find the URL to their version of ValleyCat here.
