Our next dining destination was Naples Tiki Bar & Grill in South Naples. This is our first visit to this fairly new facility. All outdoor seating but plenty of heaters for those cold days.
Breaded zucchini sticks ($7.99) and cheese curds ($8.99) were an appetizing start. My favorite curd is served with marinara. The spears are also very tasty and served with a creamy ranch.
For my main dish, I chose the Mushroom Burger ($14.99). Thick pieces of meat and heaps of mushrooms are sandwiched together with melted Swiss cheese and cooked to your liking. Also includes lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. It also comes with fries.
The burger was juicy and great. The vegetables were fresh. The fries are sprinkled with plenty of black pepper. Individual. I liked them. I don’t know if everyone will accept that.
My dining companion had the “Tiki Kickin’ Chicken” ($14.99). The menu says it’s grilled chicken breast with Thai chili sauce. What we got were breaded chicken strips. Not bad, at all.
I’ll be back for the Jersey Ripper Dog, Chicago Dog, and Big Man’s Chili Dog. Just a few of the dogs and brats on the menu.
Happy hour is daily from 3pm to 6pm. We tried the “Cranberry Blast” and “Blue Hawaiian” ($7 each). Great price! As you might imagine, I drink sparingly.
When you enter the dining area, you can’t believe you’re in the same place. Great atmosphere, service and live music. Happy Meals!
