Colt Refining & Recycling (Colt), which has an R2v3 certified facility in Hickory, North Carolina, was selected as the recycler for this pilot program. With over 40 years of experience and leadership in the precious metals recycling industry, they are dedicated to core values of integrity and quality.
“Certification is important when it comes to recycling electronics,” Napoli said. “Only certified facilities adhere to strict standards that ensure electronics are remanufactured and recycled in a sustainable manner.”
Most Christmas lights contain plastic, glass, and copper. Colt-certified facilities collect, separate, and reuse individual materials.
TERRA represents North America’s largest network of certified recyclers dedicated to protecting the environment, building a circular economy, and combating climate change.
