SFMTA officials said in a blog post that the new version of the app offers “enhanced trip planning, service alerts, and real-time traffic predictions” while continuing to offer mobile ticketing.
Here’s what you need to know about the new MuniMobile app.
Do I need to download a new app?
yes. The new version of the app is called MuniMobile 2 and is available in the Apple Store and Google Play for smartphones. The older version is called SF Muni Buses.
User accounts cannot be transferred between apps, so riders will need to create a separate account for the new MuniMobile 2 app.
