As the holiday season continues, Rockwall County still has plenty of community events and attractions to get you in the festive spirit.
• “Bethlehem Evening” is held Friday and Saturday at Ridgeview Church. A free drive-through nativity tour that takes you through the life of Jesus.Hours are from 6pm to 8:30pm
• The Royse City Tri-County Chamber of Commerce Reindeer Run 5K and Rudolph One Mile Fun Run will be held Saturday at City Lake Park, 1100 Live Oak Street. Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the fun run begins.9 a.m., 5K at 9:30 a.m.
• The Royce City Parade of Lights will depart Saturday from Weeda Bailey Middle School at 6:15 p.m., heading west on State Highway and arriving downtown by 6:30 p.m. Street parking will be barricaded at 3 p.m.
* The Tri-County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Vendor Market will be held downtown Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with plenty of vendors shopping just in time for Christmas.
• Fate’s live nativity scene begins Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at First Fate Church.
• Santa Cops 4 Kids is Dec. 17 and features a 5K Santa Chase and a 1-mile fun run. It is provided by the Rockwall Police Department and the Rockwall Police Officers Association. It begins at 8 p.m., and will benefit Rockwall County and the Child Advocacy Center for Women in Need.
• Living Nativity at First Christian Church Rockwall is Dec. 17 with performances at 5 and 6 p.m.
• A Christmas musical performance by the Rockwall Community Band will be held at First United Methodist Church on Dec. 18 from 7 p.m.
• Christmas Eve at Ridgeview will be Dec. 24 with candlelight services at Ridgeview Church at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m.
