Fall festivals and Halloween fun are in the works in Manteca.
Some upcoming events to mark on your calendar include:
Prestige Trunk or Treat
The annual free Trunk-or-Treat will be held on Friday, October 27th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Prestige Senior Living, 1130 Empire Avenue, just off Louise Avenue, east of Highway 99.
Participants must wear costumes and bring bags for goodies.
Trunk-or-Treat Downtown
Downtown Manteca’s Safe Halloween event, the annual Trunk-or-Treat, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 28, along Maple Avenue and Yosemite Avenue.
The free event, organized by the Manteca Recreation & Community Services Department, will feature candy, a costume contest, games, a coloring contest, mini-pumpkin decorations and more.
Runnin’ Like a Villain 5K Fun Run
Family-friendly Halloween 5K to benefit Tedy’s team. — Runnin’ Like a Villain — will be held at Woodward Park on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Costumes are also encouraged.
5K registration fee is $35 for ages 18 and older, $25 for ages 5-17, and free for ages 4 and under. Race day registration is $5 more, but children under 4 are free.Race starts at 8:30am
Pre-race packet pick-up will be available at Brethren Brewing Company, 200 block of North Main, on Saturday, October 21st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

halloween decoration contest
Manteca Recreation & Community Services is also holding a citywide Halloween decoration contest for apartments, homes and businesses.
Categories include scariest, best themes, and best overall.
Registration ends on October 16th.
