1. Stroll through the holiday shops

2. Have a Pinecrest Christmas
Participate in the traditions of Christmases past at Pinecrest Historical Village (924 Pinecrest Road).
Pinecrest Christmas will be held at the Manitowoc County Historical Society, 924 Pinecrest Road, on December 8th from 4pm to 7pm and December 9th from 11am to 3pm.
The “residents” of the village are busy preparing for the holidays and welcome visitors to their decorated homes. There will also be a lantern-led walk and a group performance at Niles Church.

3. History of aluminum Christmas trees participating in “Sparkle!”
Marvel at the large Evergleam exhibit at the Manitowoc Public Library and hear why this aluminum Christmas tree is so rare and special to our region.
Its history is explained by members of MAKI, the organization that coordinates Evergleams on Eighth.
The in-person event will be held at the library, 707 Quay St, on Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. You can also watch the virtual presentation on December 14th at 6pm at www.facebook.com/manitowoclibrary.
4. Dust off your ugly Christmas sweater
Sip a refreshing beer and join others dressed in spooky seasonal costumes at Pet Skull Brewing’s 3rd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest on December 9th from 6pm to 9pm. Sho.
There will be live music from Meet the Seabirds, and first through third place winners will receive a PetSkull Brewing gift certificate.

5. Dive deeper with the Nook & Cranny Tour
Even if you’ve never been inside the USS. cobia Or, if you’ve taken a regular tour before, you’ll be amazed by the behind-the-scenes Nook & Cranny Tours that the Wisconsin Maritime Museum hosts several times a year.
You can see parts of the submarine that are not normally open to the public and hear stories from when the submarine was in service.
This tour starts on December 10th at 12:30pm and is suitable for ages 12 and up due to the length of the tour. Purchase tickets at https://bit.ly/3wRsCkS. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is located at 75 Maritime Drive.
