Singer, guitarist, and sometime actor Chris Isaak, best known for his 1989 hit “Wicked Game,” will perform at Maverick, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City, Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.・There will be a performance at the center. Isaac is on his “It’s Almost Christmas” tour, so you can expect a selection of holiday songs. A Christmas classic is back
Ballet West’s production of “The Nutcracker,” based on ETA Hoffman’s fairy tale about a girl who receives a Nutcracker soldier for Christmas and dreams of adventure in Sugar Plum Fairyland, is back. I did. The production is based on original choreography by Ballet West founder Willum Christensen and is touted as the first “Nutcracker” produced in the United States. The production had its premiere Friday, and performances will run through his Dec. 27 run, all at the Capitol Theater, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City. Tickets can be purchased at balletwest.org.

Matt and Savannah’s Christmas
Utah father-daughter musical duo Matt and Savannah Shaw will perform a program of Christmas songs Friday and Saturday at the Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City. The pair began releasing videos on YouTube in 2020, just as the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic was beginning, and gained a global following. Tickets for both shows, which begin at 7:30 p.m., are available at saltlakecountyarts.org.
