(FOX40.COM) — As trees and neighborhoods across Sacramento light up for the holidays, Sacramento State Planetarium is hosting countless events in December, including last month’s sold-out Pink Floyd Also includes inspired shows.
“We’re back! After years of demand, Sac State Planetarium premiered ‘Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon’ last month to a sold-out audience,” the university said on its website. I wrote it on the site.

It added: “This month we’re back with two other great shows: ‘JWST: 2023’ and ‘Mystery of the Christmas Star.’
Pink Floyd is a British rock band that rose to prominence in the 70s and is considered one of Britain’s first psychedelic groups and a major band in the “progressive rock” genre.
One of the band’s most famous albums, “The Dark Side of the Moon,” will be screened at Sacramento State Planetarium, along with visuals for each song, the university said.
“This incredible sensory experience is a 42-minute show featuring Pink Floyd’s entire 10-song album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon,’ nothing more, nothing less.” A description of the event is written. University website.
The description further states, “The music is accompanied by visuals for each track. [are] Looking to the future, and more [will be] A retro appreciation of Pink Floyd’s visual history, all related to the experience of time and space. ”
Another event hosted by the planetarium, “The Mystery of the Christmas Star,” will “turn back the astronomical clock” and allow participants to see what the sky looked like at the time of Jesus’ birth.
Revealing the details of the incident, Sacramento State Legislature said: “With an understanding of these temporary phenomena, we can rewind the astronomical clock by more than 2,000 years and get a glimpse of what the night sky was like around the time of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.”
“[Let’s] Let’s see if you can use our knowledge to decipher the mystery of the Christmas star! ” the university added.

Tickets for all events will be available for purchase on December 4th at noon.

- Sunday, December 17th, 1pm and 2:30pm with Laura Legge
All tickets are $17 ($15 per ticket + $2 per ticket fee).
Mystery of the Christmas Star screening times

Children 12 and under and Sacramento State students can attend this show for free with just a ticket.
General admission is $7 ($5 ticket + $2 ticket fee).
