On Monday night, the app experienced a system outage that prevented users in several cities from booking rides, and users continued to experience the glitch until Tuesday.

“For orders affected during the system outage period, we will complete payment within 24 hours and refund the difference if the passenger has overpaid,” the notice said.
“At the same time, as compensation and apology, we have prepared a 10 yuan discount coupon for all users.”
The company did not respond to a request for comment on the number of users eligible for the coupon.
According to the latest results, Didi Chuxing’s China services recorded an average of 31.3 million transactions per day in the third quarter.
Didi announced early Wednesday that the disruption was caused by a failure in the underlying system software, not a cyberattack, and that service had been fully restored. She also said she would implement renovations to prevent it from happening again.
