BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A variety of events are being held around Bridgewater to celebrate the 2023 winter holidays.
Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, begins at sunset on December 7th and ends at dawn on December 15th. Of course, Christmas is his December 25th, but you don’t have to wait to start Christmas. Amid all the sights and sounds of the season.

The Bridgewater menorah lighting is as follows:
- Bridgewater Township, along with Bridgewater JCC and Temple Shalom, will light a menorah outside Bridgewater City Hall, located at 100 Commons Way, on Monday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. Click here for more information.
Christmas tree illumination occurs:

Bridgewater Township Christmas Tree Lighting at 100 Commons Way. The event, which will take place at City Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 6 p.m., will include a tree lighting, singing, hot chocolate, family-friendly activities and, of course, Santa.
Christmas parades, often accompanied by Santa Claus, festively decorated floats, and marching bands, are a national and local holiday tradition.
Bridgewater’s parade may not be on the scale of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but the heart behind it is just as big. Here are the parades you can watch from home:

Somerville’s Holiday Lights Parade, held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. on Somerville’s Main Street, will also feature illuminated and decorated fire trucks, ambulances and emergency response vehicles with Santa. Masu.

- The Downtown Somerville Alliance’s annual Holiday Jubilee begins on Friday, Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at 61 Main Street and features a variety of performances and activities throughout the district, including a visit from Santa himself. It becomes a highlight.

Norz Hill Farm & Market, LLC will once again be offering the Holiday Lights Hayride at 130 S Branch Road in Hillsboro. Nolts Hill Farm offers a hayride experience that includes holiday lights, outdoor interactive exhibits, walks alongside animals, and even a stop at Santa’s cornfield office.
- Warren Township will hold its 2023 Holiday Festival on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 46 Mountain Blvd. Includes a bonfire, horse-drawn carriage rides, petting zoo, holiday music, free hot chocolate, food and business vendors, and more. Click here for more information.

Santa @ The Commons, located in the lower center court of the shopping center at 400 Commons Way in Bridgewater, will host Santa Celebration visits through Sunday, Dec. 24.

The Green Knoll Fire Department will be hosting a Cookies with Santa on Friday, December 22nd. Santa participates in the annual fundraiser. On Saturday, December 23rd, the Green Knoll Fire Engine will be escorting Santa throughout the response area. Click here to sign up for cookies.

Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company is teaming up with Santa Claus to spread the Christmas spirit and help raise funds for the fire department. They will be escorting Santa around the main response areas of Bridgewater and Branchburg Twps. For $50, families can have Santa Claus come to their homes with lights and sirens on and deliver gifts to children. There are limited dates available. Click here to register.
