It’s 1975
British pop-rock band The 1975 will conclude their Black Friday weekend with a concert at the Delta Center, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City, on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The band is known for hits such as “The Sound,” “Somebody Else,” and “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You),” but earlier this year, lead singer Matty Healy briefly dated a pop icon and made headlines of his own. Taylor Swift. (Swifts hated the pairing, but Swift quickly moved on to football star Travis Kelce, who fans seem to approve of.) Bedroom pop musician Dora Jar Serves as the opening act. Holiday Special Strikes Back
The Utah Film Center will host its own Christmas party on Tuesday at the City Library, 210 E. 400 S. in Salt Lake City, starting at 7 p.m. The center will screen “A Disturbance in the Force,” a documentary about the making of one of pop culture’s strangest artifacts, the 1978 “Star Wars Holiday Special.” Directors Jeremy Coon and Steve Kozak explain how the variety show, which featured stars Beatrice Arthur, Harvey Korman, Jefferson Starship, and bounty hunter Boba Felt in their first appearance, was created and then directed by creators We look back at why it was disowned by George Lucas and never aired. On TV again. After the screening, RadioWest host Doug Fabrizio will host an interview with Kuhn and Kozak. Moviegoers are encouraged to wear their best tacky sweaters. Admission is free.

A market full of crafts
Craft Lake City will hold its fifth annual Holiday Market on Friday and Saturday at Ogden’s Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave. in Ogden. The event will feature more than 125 of his Utah-based artists, vintage vendors and food manufacturers, giving shoppers a small business alternative to buying holiday gifts. There’s also entertainment, an indie game arcade, free photos with Santa (bring your camera), and free admission to the Union Station museum. Business hours are Fridays from 5pm to 10pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. Admission is $10 at the door and $7 in advance. For more information, visit craftlakecity.com.
