NEWTOWN, Pa. — A variety of events are being held around Newtown to celebrate the 2023 winter holidays.
Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, begins at sunset on December 7th and ends at dawn on December 15th. Of course, Christmas is his December 25th, but you don’t have to wait to start Christmas. Amid all the sights and sounds of the season.

The Newtown menorah lighting is as follows:
- Lubavitch of Bucks County will hold a Family Hanukkah Celebration at the Glazier Jewish Center, 25 North State Street, Newtown, on Sunday, Dec. 10, from 5 p.m. This event features a spectacular outdoor menorah lighting, Gerd Her Drop, buffet her dinner, Pod Dreidel painting art, blown glass menorah presentation, Rabbi Her Arie Weinstein’s It will feature her 50th birthday. Attendance confirmation is required.

Santa will light the Newtown tree and listen to the wishes of young people on Friday, Dec. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Newtown Fire Department at Liberty Street and Washington Avenue. Masu. Live music and light refreshments will also be provided.Santa is scheduled to arrive around 7pm.
Christmas parades, often accompanied by Santa Claus, festively decorated floats, and marching bands, are a national and local holiday tradition.
The Newtown District parade may not match it in scale, but the heart behind it is just as big. Here are the parades you can watch from home:
- The NBA and McCaffrey’s Market Newtown Holiday Parade departs from Stocking Works on South State Street at 2 p.m. The parade then marches north on State Street to Washington, west on Washington to Sycamore, and north on Sycamore to Durham Road, where it disbands. This event is sponsored by the New Town Business Association.
Holiday illumination displays are also a favorite during the holiday season. Here’s what you can catch in Pennsylvania:
- The Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show will be held nightly now through January 7th. The farm is located at his 931 Stony Hill Road in Yardley. To order tickets and information, visit shadybrookfarm.com.
