• The Warren Local School Board Governing Board meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m., in the Warren High School auditorium, 130 Warrior Drive, Vincent.
• The Buckeye Hills Regional Council Executive Committee will meet on Friday, Dec. 1 at 11:30 a.m. and the Buckeye Hills Regional Advisory Committee will meet on Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Buckeye Hills Regional Council, 1400 Pike Street, Marietta. We will meet in the office.

• The Washington County Retired Senior Volunteer Program will be holding a winter coat drive for children on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 30 from 10 p.m.-2 p.m. Donate coats of any size for children to many locations. Locations include Belpre Kroger, Citizens Bank of Marietta, Washington County Courthouse and Memorial Health System Belpre Cancer Center. The deadline for donations is November 27th. The distribution will be held at the Dime Bank Building at Second and Putnam Streets in Marietta.
• Beverly American Legion Post 389, 114 Fifth St. will be hosting a public steak fry at the Post on Saturday, November 25th from 5 to 8 p.m. The cost is $15 per meal. After the steak fries, “Up to No Good” will be played.
• The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County and the Washington County Health Department are collaborating on Youth Tobacco Clean Up Day at Harmar Village on Saturday, Nov. 27, starting at noon. Arrive at the Boys & Girls Club on Lancaster Street in Marietta by 9:45 a.m. Youth will be trained on Big Tobacco’s impact on the environment and what they can do to make a difference. Masu. • O’Neill Senior Center (333 Fourth St.) will host its annual craft show on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 8 to 3 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.
• The Noble County Historical Society will host a Christmas Tea on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Ball Caldwell Homestead, 16 East Street in Caldwell, at the Hospitality House with parking next to the barn. We offer a variety of sandwiches, cookies, scones and other sweets, as well as tea, coffee or punch. The program will feature special presentations by special guests related to the history of the Ball Caldwell Historic House. This event is for all ages. A donation of $10 per adult ticket and $5 per child ticket is required. Tickets can be picked up at the Historical Prison Museum or by calling 740-732-5288. The Historical Prison Museum is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donations will go to the Noble Country Historical Society.
• St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will host a free community meal on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 5 to 6 p.m. Meals can be eaten inside or taken out. For takeout meals, please call the church at 740-373-5132 and leave your name and number of meals desired. There may be limits. If you do not call ahead, we cannot guarantee pre-packaged meals will be available.
• A presentation on local Native Americans will be held at Riverbend Family Dining, 415 Fifth Avenue, Beverly, on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. The target age group is 18 years or older. Registration is not required. For more information, call the Beverly Branch Library at 740-984-4060.
• AMVETS Post 1788 will hold its annual Pearl Harbor Memorial Ceremony at Muskingum Park in Marietta on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m. The event will include formal opening remarks, a prayer and a short speech on the importance of Pearl Harbor in American history, followed by a wreath laying at sea. • Sponsored by the Washington County Republican Party “Christmas with the Supremes” It will be held at the Campus Martius Museum (601 Second St) on December 8th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The mixer will feature special guests Judge Megan Shanahan and Judge Dan Hawkins. Beverages and snacks for adults are available. Tickets are $10 per person and must be purchased by December 2nd. • St. Mary Catholic School will host Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the St. Mary Catholic School Social Hall. There will be pancakes, photos with Santa, crafts, a country store and more. The event is open to the public. All proceeds will go toward school repairs and teacher salary increases.
• Oak Grove Fire and Rescue will bring Santa on a fire truck ride to visit children in the Oak Grove and Muskingum Township West areas every Sunday, Dec. 10, from 1 p.m. Children should listen for the fire engine sirens announcing Santa’s arrival. . Fire Department personnel collect donations for the Gospel Mission Food Pantry.
• Washington State Community College, located at 710 Colgate Drive in Marietta, will host Hope for the Holidays on the campus lawn on Dec. 10 from 6 p.m. A candlelight vigil will be held to remember loved ones lost to suicide. Participants are invited to bring a photo of their loved one to the memory table. The event is open to the public.

– November 30: AmeriCorps and Zero Waste will give a presentation on how to start composting in your backyard for people 18 and older. Registration is not required.
– Every Wednesday until the end of the year:
– Weekly Storytime will be held from 8:15 to 9 a.m. for children ages 2-6 when accompanied by an adult. Story time includes stories, crafts, games, music, and simple breakfast snacks. Please use the backdoor. Registration is not required.
– “Once upon a time, we…” An after-school program for children ages 6 to 12 will be held from 3:15 p.m. Topics and activities may include crafts, games, books, and more. Registration is not required.
– Weekly Baby Bookworm sessions are held at 10:30am Baby Bookworms is a story and play time for children aged 2 and under, accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.
– Second Thursday: Cooking skills for teens and adults at 6 p.m. Please bring a recipe to share.

– Every Thursday from November 30th to January 4th: Family Book Club will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The meeting will include discussion, reading, related activities and refreshments.
