(WOWK) — Thanksgiving weather is expected to improve for many outdoor events, with seasonal weather expected to continue for several days into the second half of the long holiday. Many people walk or run his 5K locally early Thursday morning. Temperatures start in the mid 30s.
Deer hunting continues in West Virginia, making it shooting season and conditions are very good for those heading to the woods on Thanksgiving morning.
Also of note: Dunbar’s annual community tackle football game, known as the Commode Bowl, will open Thursday afternoon for the 75th annual event. The weather will be perfect, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching 50 degrees.
Black Friday shoppers can expect temperatures in the 30s and partly to mostly cloudy skies as the sun rises.
On Saturday, Huntington football fans will have a chance to watch Marshall play against Arkansas State with kickoff at 3:30 p.m. Temperatures are seasonal. After the game, the temperature will drop into the 30s and be dry, so dress accordingly.
