Nov 20 (Reuters) – At least one person was killed and three others injured in a shooting at a Walmart store in Beavercreek, Ohio, on Monday, WHIO television reported, citing reporters at the scene, and witnesses spoke to the media. “A man opened fire,” he said. with an assault rifle.
Three patients from the shooting were being treated at a nearby trauma center, a hospital spokesperson said.
Beavercreek Police responded to the shooting and said there was no longer a threat to the public. Beavercreek is a city of approximately 46,000 people just east of Dayton.

Photos from the scene showed police cars with flashing lights converging on the store.
“I was literally just going shopping for Thanksgiving items when this guy walked past me with an assault rifle and started shooting,” one woman said in a video posted on social media, leaving no one injured. He added that he did not know whether there were any deaths.
“I ran…he shot me about 10 times…I’m so lucky to be alive,” she said through tears.
Another witness on social media said the gunman was a “tall young white male” carrying a military bag.
“Right now my nerves are numb,” she said.
WHIO and the Dayton Daily News cited witnesses who gave similar accounts.
Three patients were admitted to Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, said Katherine Morris, a spokeswoman for parent company Kettering Health.
Walmart directed all inquiries to law enforcement.
“We are saddened by what happened at our Beavercreek, Ohio store. The situation remains evolving and we are working closely with law enforcement authorities on the scene,” the retail giant said in a statement.
Police said they will release more information as it becomes available.
