Camden — Camden Opera House Announces Holiday Entertainment for December 2023.
The holiday season is officially upon the Camden Opera House stage following the Oshima Brothers’ Thanksgiving weekend homecoming concert. The local Atlantic Ballet will perform “The Nutcracker” as part of Camden’s annual Christmas by the Sea. This year’s production, featuring a popular Tchaikovsky score and talented guest dancers from New York, will be performed Saturday and Sunday, December 2nd and 3rd, at 3 p.m.
Camden Ballet Theatre’s musical theater students perform ‘The Red-Nosed Reindeer Junior’. Friday and Saturday, December 8th and 9th; 6 pm; and Sunday, December 10th. 2:30pm This children’s production from Music Theater International is based on the story by Robert L. May and features the famous TV special music and lyrics by Johnny Marks.
On Wednesday 13th December, Camden Opera House will present an evening featuring activist singer-songwriter Noel Paul Stookey and bassist Michael Bird. The celebratory concert will also include the premiere of Robert Shetterly’s portrait of Stookey as part of the acclaimed painting series “Americans Tell the Truth.” Like Stookey’s music, AWTT hopes to inspire and motivate everyone to act courageously to increase the quotient of justice, equality, peace, and inclusive joy around the world.
