COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Commons is brightening up downtown this holiday season with a display of 400,000 lights. Several events will be held at the Lazarus Building and Promenade for the rest of the year.
From November 17th to January 1st, 2024, holiday lights will brighten up the area from 5pm to 11pm every day.
Columbus Commons hosts “Festival Fridays” the first four Fridays in December, featuring free hot chocolate on tortillas, a free carousel from 5pm to 9pm, live music, a walking photo booth, and more.
Local Shopping Day will be held on Dec. 2, where guests can visit Santa at the Lazarus Building from 4 to 7 p.m., and find unique gifts at downtown shops. “Downtown Holiday Day” will also take place on the same day as Winterfest and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Winterfest features seasonal local craft beers and cocktails, live music, local Columbus food trucks, and family-friendly winter activities.
Attendees will enjoy live performances throughout the day from RJD2, a popular Columbus-based and globally recognized DJ and producer, as well as Honey and Blue, the George Barry Band and DJ AXCESS.
A new highlight of this year’s Winterfest Columbus is a tasting experience featuring five local breweries. The offer will end as soon as stock runs out. Attendees can enjoy samples and learn about seasonal beers including:
Participating local food trucks include Eiffel Street Food, Fork in Nigeria, Ninja Bowl, Paddy Wagon, Pitbilities, Pizza Cottage, Queen’s Table, Schmidt’s Sausage Truck, and The Galaxy. Coffee, tortilla street food and more.
The event also features free activities for all ages, including mechanical reindeer, a giant snow globe photo shoot, cornhole, and a durian green playground.
