EDWARDSVILLE — The Christmas Candlelight Tour is scheduled for Friday, November 25th from 5pm to 8pm at 1820 Co. Benhamin Stephenson House, 409 S. Buchanan St., Edwardsville, and tickets are available in advance online you’ll need to buy it.
According to information on the historic site’s website, visitors can transport themselves back in time during the annual Christmas Candlelight Tour by welcoming in the holiday season at the 1820 Col. Benjamin Stevenson House. Masu. The historic mansion glows with candlelight and is decorated with early 19th century decorations, immersing visitors in a truly interactive historical experience.
A variety of activities are planned to tell the stories of the people who lived at Stevenson House in the early 1820s. Guests enjoy their holiday visit in traditionally decorated rooms as historical interpreters discuss the history of the house and the Christmas customs of the families who lived there. Taste homemade gingerbread made to her 1803 recipe baked on the hearth in the kitchen, learn a simple country dance in her dining room, and sing carols around and use her 1820 piano forte in the parlor. Please also enjoy the scene photos of the guest room, master bedroom, and children’s room. .
Tickets must be purchased in advance for specific times. The first tour starts at 5pm and the last tour starts at 7:40pm. The cost is $10 per person. Visitors must arrive 10 minutes before their specific tour start time to check in at the gift shop. The tour starts right away in the courtyard where he takes every 20 minutes. If you arrive late, the event will not be held.

November December 25 30 Tree Glen Festival: The Glen Carbon Heritage Museum will be decorated with holiday lights, the holiday tree will be lit at special times, and visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree.
