Fort Knox, Kentucky — At Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers, we have a lot planned for the holidays.
The Fort Knox BOSS program features a diverse lineup of events sure to energize Soldiers, including trips to the zoo, community service at the First Lights Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Post, and helping with Feeding America. .
Sergeant Kendall White, BOSS president, said the group has already done a number of things in November, including the recreation and leisure event Friends Giving and a visit to Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville on Nov. 8, Veterans Day. He said he carried out activities.
“During our Veterans Day visit, we handed out over 100 Veterans Day cards and pins,” White said.
For the remainder of December, the group will participate in the following events:
November 17th – BOSS Zoo Trip for Recreation and Leisure
December 6th – BOSS meeting
December 7th – First Lights Festival & Tree Lighting Ceremony, Community Service
December 9 – Paws for BOSS, Community Service
December 14 – Feeding America, Community Service
December 14 – Canvas works, recreation and leisure
December 16 – Wreath laying ceremony and community service at Fort Knox Post Cemetery
