Texas A&M’s annual Art Adamson Invitational opened Wednesday in College Station.
A large group of players from all over the country gather to begin the match.
The events on the first day were the men’s and women’s 200m freestyle relay, 500m freestyle, 200m IM, 50m free, and 400m medley relay.

Women’s 200 free relay
LSU won the 200 free relay, earning its first win of the meet. Regan Osborne, Katarina Milutinovic, Michaela de Villiers and megan burns. The quartet finished in 1 minute 28.88 seconds.
Texas A&Ms Olivia Seaall, Chloe Stepanek, Caitlin Owens and bobby kennett He took second place with a time of 1 minute 29.29 seconds.
UCLA’s Brooks Schaefer, Anna Gee-Schiff, Sarah Bennett and Maddie Wright He took 3rd place with a time of 1 minute 29.81 seconds.
Men’s 200m free relay
The Texas A&M men got off to a fast start and won the first men’s event of the tournament.
Baylor Nelson, Connor Foote, Carter Nelson and clayton conklin He broke through the wall in 1 minute 18.23 seconds and won the 200 free relay. The team dropped 1 hour and 45 minutes from their qualifying time.
LSU Pavel Uryniuk, Jere Ribar, Andrew Garon and Simon Casey He took second place with a time of 1 minute 18.81 seconds.
Utah’s Jake Horner, Will Woodall, Davis Stachelek and jackson koehler He took 3rd place with a time of 1 minute 19.37 seconds.
Women’s 500 Freestyle
Texas A&M took a 1-2-3 in the 500 freestyle and built a lead in the match.
Abby Gutrut won in 4:41.58, followed by chloe stepanek at 4:42.60 hayden mirror 4 minutes 43 seconds 22.
UCLA’s Ashley Kolesar He took 4th place with a time of 4 minutes 46.58 seconds.
Men’s 500 Freestyle
LSU Jacob Pischko He won the 500 free, four seconds faster than the field. The sophomore reached the wall in 4:19.65.
Texas A&Ms trey dickey Finished in 2nd place with a time of 4:23.21, beating out Utah. Jakub Walter (4:24.30).
Women’s 200IM
UCLA had a significant advantage in the 200IM, taking the top three spots with an impressive performance.
Paige McEachern Won the race in 1:57.20 and finished ahead of his teammates. rosie murphy (1:57.93) and Anna G. Schiff (1:58.89).
Men’s 200IM
Texas A&M once again won by a landslide, this time with a dominant performance from the Aggies, 1-2-3-4-5.
baylor nelson won in 1:41.33, followed by logan brown (1:43.07), Alex Sanchez (1:44.42), Vincent Ribeiro (1:44.85) mangy kabbalah (1:45.04).
Women’s 50 Freestyle
san diego state junior meredith smith bakeR led the field and won her 50th freestyle victory to close out the women’s individual event on the first day.
Smith-Baker reached the wall in 22.24 seconds, nearly four seconds off his seeding time.
Sophomore in Utah Erin Palmer was slightly behind, taking second place with a time of 22.41 seconds.
LSU Michaela de Villiers Achieved 3rd place (22.46 seconds), slightly ahead of his teammate Katarina Milutinovic (22.48) and Texas A&M’s chloe stepanek (22.51).
Men’s 50 Freestyle
Freshman at LSU jere fribar He won the men’s 50m free in 19.45 seconds, shaving three seconds off his seeded time.
Texas A&M earned the next three spots conor foote (19.57), clayton conklin (20:00) and carter nelson (20.40).
