Saturday: The city sponsors the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Triangle Park, located at Main and Broadway streets downtown.
The event will run from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include plenty of holiday spirit, including local vendors, performers, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more.

December 1: The Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce sponsors the 40th annual Christmas Parade of Lights. This year’s theme is “Peanuts Wonderland: Merry Sand Springs Christmas Parade.” The 1.8-mile parade, billed as Oklahoma’s longest-running nighttime Christmas parade, departs at 7 p.m.
The deadline to participate in the parade is approaching Friday. The entry fee is $20 and there are prizes for the most festive “Peanuts”-inspired entries in the categories of Best Church, Best Use of Light, Best Showmanship, Best Use of Theme, and Best of Show. Prizes will be awarded to entries that receive rations.

December 2-3: Sand Springs Community Theater will have a “Peanuts” theme with its presentation of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”
The play will be performed in the Old Central 9th ​​Grade Center Auditorium, Fourth Street and Garfield Avenue, on Saturday, December 2nd at 2:30pm and 7pm, and Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30pm be done.

December 16: The Sand Springs Museum of Cultural History will host the jolly old elf himself as part of its annual Santa’s Workshop event, but this year Kris Kringle will be hosting another celebrity, Lucy Van Pelt from the Peanuts cartoon. It may be complemented by Melanie Cohn.
Cohn starred in films from 1974 to 1977, including Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown, It’s an Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown, and You’re a Good Sport. She played the voice of Lucy in films such as “It’s Hello, Charlie Brown.” And she starred in the feature film Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown.
Mr. Cohn will read aloud from a book about Lucy and sign autographs. Her appearance is sponsored by the children of longtime Sand Springs resident Janice Johnson.
Other Santa Workshop activities at the museum, located at 9 East Broadway St., include ornament making and visits with Santa Claus and the real-life Charlie Brown and Lucy characters.The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

December 16: The Sand Springs Chamber of Commerce will conclude its Santa Bucks campaign with a drawing to determine prize winners at noon at Charles Page High School Memorial Stadium.
Winners must be 18 years of age or older and must be present to win.
