If the recent cool weather is starting to get you in the holiday spirit, you’re in luck. From parades to markets to tree lightings, dozens of holiday events have already begun or are about to take place.

Historic Columbia Holiday House Tour — Choose a date from Wednesday, November 15th to Saturday, December 30th for a guided tour of the seasonally decorated Robert Mills House and Hampton Preston House.
vista light — More than 60 galleries, shops and restaurants will be open, there will be live music and a tree lighting will take place on Thursday, November 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. at 7 p.m.
firefly holiday lights — 6 to 9 p.m. From Thursday, Nov. 16 to Sunday, Dec. 31, the festival will feature more than 1 million LED lights, crafts and activities for kids, food and shopping, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Wild Lights at Riverbanks Zoo — New nature-inspired light event including overnight snowfall, train rides, refreshments and more on select nights from November 17th to January 14th from 5pm to 9pm will be done.
Governor’s Karolite — Music, a message from the governor and the lighting of the state’s Christmas tree at the South Carolina State Capitol on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m.
Holiday Lights on the River — From Thursday, Nov. 23 to Sunday, Dec. 31 from 6 to 10 p.m., there will be more than two miles of drive-through lights, a laser light show, hayrides, gift shop and concessions.
Blythewood Christmas Tree Lighting — Sunday, Nov. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Blythewood City Hall with music and a visit from Santa.
Junior League Holiday Market — From Thursday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 3, the SC State Fairgrounds will feature approximately 170 vendors, food and drinks, and photos with Santa.
holiday planetarium lighting — Movies, planetarium shows, crafts for kids, and shopping at the South Carolina State Museum on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.
fantasy of light — More than 1 million lights will shine at Swan Lake Iris Garden in Sumter from Dec. 1 to 31 at 6 p.m.
Lexington Town Snowball Parade — Sunday, Dec. 3, 3 p.m., Main Street, Lexington.
carolina lights — 6 to 9 p.m. A drive-thru holiday light show with more than 100 displays will be held at the SC State Fairgrounds from December 8th to 24th, Tuesdays through Thursdays and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 10 p.m.
Christkindl Market — Unique handmade arts and crafts, specialty food and beverages, and a live nativity at Doco Meadows Park in Blythewood on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Featuring scene, music entertainment.
Christmas Peddler Craft Show — Local arts and crafts sales and music at the Tri-City Leisure Center in West Columbia on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Blythewood Christmas Parade — Grand Marshals Bill and Barbara Sheaves will lead more than 90 floats, vehicles, marching bands and other groups through the downtown area on Sunday, Dec. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.
