Carson City Sheriff’s Office Youth Cadets Host Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser Nov. 12
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Youth Cadet Program is hosting its 3rd Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Nov. 12, in the Sheriff’s Office Ormsby Room, 911 East Masser Street, Carson City. All proceeds go to the Cadet program and help pay for equipment, uniforms, and competition costs.
Multiple holiday performances by Carson City Symphony Orchestra Youth Choir begin Sunday
The Symphony Youth Chorus, a tuition-free educational program of the Carson City Symphony Orchestra, is open to children ages 4 to 12 and performs several times a year. The choir, directed by Michelle Powers, will be performing in Carson City this year for the holidays.
Pop-up sale and giveaway held Sunday in Carson City to support Brewery Arts Center Pottery Program
Join the Brewery Arts Center pottery team for early local holiday shopping on Sunday and support a worthy program. We will be holding a “Pop-up Sale and Benefits” for ceramics students to support the Brewery Arts Center Ceramics Program.
The sale will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12 at BAC Pottery Studio – 449 W. King Street, Carson City. In addition to raffling off student-donated pottery, a portion of student sales goes back to the studio.
Organizers say they’ve been forced to cut back on some of their favorite glazes because of the rising cost of supplies. This sale will help us regain some of our lost glaze. In addition to the amazing pottery, there will also be wheel-throwing demonstrations at 1 and 2 p.m.

As the winter season approaches, Carson City School District’s McKinney-Vento Transition Program will be offering new winter youth coats (boys and girls – all sizes) and new teen/junior sweatshirts and jackets (all sizes). ) will become necessary. This community-driven initiative aims to ensure that all students have access to warm clothing during the colder months.
