Turkey Trots (Thursday, November 23rd)
There are a lot of 5k and 10k runs around the Twin Cities on Thanksgiving. These “Turkey Trots” create a vibrant and fun way to celebrate the holidays while staying active. People often dress up when walking around places like Lake Harriet, Hennepin Avenue, Upper Landing Park, and Highland Park.
Minneapolis Craft Market (Friday, November 24th – Saturday, December 30th)
The Minneapolis Craft Market is a pop-up event held at the IDS Center at Nicollet Mall. Starting on Black Friday, we’ll be featuring a variety of artists from across the Twin Cities. This holiday event will feature candles, jewelry, food and other creations for sale.
Minnesota Wild vs. Colorado Avalanche (Friday, November 24th)

Night train (Friday, November 24th)
A unique way to spend Black Friday is to attend the Night Train event at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum. Yurglaje (Saturday, November 25th)
Julglädje is an annual event held at the Swedish Institute of America in Minneapolis that brings the charm of Swedish holiday customs to Minnesota. The lab is filled with authentic decorations, handmade items, and holiday lights. The event features storytelling, ornament making, and a variety of homemade Scandinavian dishes.
Hmong New Year (Saturday, November 25th)
The Hmong New Year celebration in St. Paul brings together the local Hmong community to celebrate the new year. At St. Paul Rivercenter, everyone can celebrate with events featuring traditional Hmong costumes, upbeat music, and energetic dance performances. Hmong food and handicrafts will be provided to commemorate the community’s culture.
