The City of St. Paul is branding the holiday season with a fun lineup to beckon visitors, including GLOW at CHS Field and beautiful twinkling lights at Rice Park. Here are some highlights that might make for something fun to eat.
Look for multiple events in Union Depot Holiday Homefrom the Polar Express to the European Christmas Market, featuring 70 unique stalls offering handmade crafts and fun treats (214 E. 4th St., St. Paul, uniondepot.org).
Cue Schroeder: Amsterdam is hosting a live performance of Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” soundtrack. You can also dance along and order onion-filled fries (6 W. 6th St., St. Paul, amsterdambarandhall.com).
cancan wonderland The décor is dazzling and kitschy, with winter wonderland installations. Make the best of everything wonderful this season has to offer by meeting Buddy the Elf and taking your money to his family-friendly “Soul Christmas” performance. apostolic supper clubThe 1960s-style supper club in downtown St. Paul (253 Kellogg Blvd., apostlesupperclub.com) has a ski chalet-themed fire pit and a Christmas tree bigger than you can shake a conifer stick in the dining room. is decorated. Travail Kitchen and Amusements is already on holiday with its festive basement bar. Festive cocktail adventures are combined with kaiseki cuisine that incorporates Pan-Asian and Polynesian cuisine.
